Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Overwall website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Overwall LLC ("Overwall," "we," "us," or "our"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.


1. General Principle

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You are solely responsible for your conduct while using the Service and for any content you transmit or access through the Service.

2. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Service to:

2.1 Illegal Activity

  • Engage in any activity that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Access, transmit, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors.
  • Facilitate or engage in human trafficking, drug trafficking, or the sale of illegal goods or services.
  • Commit or facilitate fraud, identity theft, phishing, or financial crimes.
  • Violate copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any person.
  • Promote, incite, or facilitate terrorism or violent extremism.

2.2 Network and Infrastructure Abuse

  • Denial of Service: Launch, facilitate, or participate in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or other forms of network flooding against any target.
  • Unauthorized Access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any computer system, network, server, or account, including any component of the Overwall infrastructure.
  • Malware Distribution: Transmit viruses, worms, trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious software.
  • Port Scanning and Exploitation: Conduct vulnerability scanning, port scanning, or penetration testing against any system without explicit authorization from the system owner.
  • Spam: Send unsolicited bulk emails, messages, or communications of any kind.
  • Botnets: Operate, manage, or participate in botnets or command-and-control infrastructure.

2.3 Service Abuse

  • Share, resell, redistribute, or sublicense your account or the Service to any third party without our written consent.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, authentication, or access control mechanism of the Service.
  • Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, bans, or other restrictions.
  • Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the source of any content transmitted through the Service.

2.4 Harmful Content

  • Transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Use the Service to infringe upon the privacy rights of any individual.

3. Bandwidth and Fair Use

Your use of the Service is subject to the bandwidth and device limits of your subscription plan. Excessive usage that degrades the Service for other users, or usage patterns consistent with automated abuse (e.g., continuous bulk downloading, torrenting beyond plan limits, or operating a server through the Service) may result in throttling, suspension, or termination of your account.

4. Enforcement

Overwall reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and to take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to:

  • Issuing a warning to the account holder.
  • Temporarily suspending the account.
  • Permanently terminating the account without refund.
  • Reporting the activity to relevant law enforcement authorities.
  • Cooperating with law enforcement investigations as required by law.

While Overwall does not proactively monitor the content of user traffic, we reserve the right to act on credible reports of abuse received from third parties, law enforcement agencies, or other sources.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any activity that violates this AUP, please report it immediately to support@overwall.app. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP.
